Fillers

Radiesse, more about Restylane, and Perlane are types of filler injections. Collagen, our skin’s structural
support system, decreases as we mature. This loss of volume appears as sunken cheeks,
laxity at the jawline, deep creases and lines, and thin lips. We are able to sculpt and enhance
areas of the face with fillers to restore volume and fill creases.

Radiesse

Radiesse cosmetic filler is an FDA-approved, next-generation filler that is setting a new standard for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles such as nasolabial folds. Made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, radiesse cosmetic filler is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure giving you immediate, visible improvement of folds and wrinkles, and providing long-lasting and beautiful results.

How Radiesse Works

Radiesse works by replenishing the lost volume and restoring your own collagen, leaving you with flawless, natural results. As part of the aging process, your natural collagen break down, diminishing facial volume and elasticity, which causes fine lines and wrinkles. Upon injection, Radiesse immediately provides volume and lift to your skin, diminishing the signs of aging.

Restylane and Perlane

Restylane is most commonly used for lip enhancement and to diminish wrinkles and signs of aging on the face around the nose and mouth, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.

How Restylane Works

Restylane works by revitalizing the skin by increasing elasticity structure, without the goal of adding volume, for example in the face and hands. Restylane is made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in the body. When it breaks down and is absorbed into your body, the filler turns into water and carbon dioxide and disappears without leaving a trace.

Restylane is injected with a small needle under the skin. A treatment with a dermal filler like restylane can cause some temporary swelling and numbness for a few days. Other side effects are rare.

How Perlane Works

Perlane, like Restylane, is a dermal filler and long lasting gel that, once injected into the skin with an ultra fine needle, lifts and adds volume to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Perlane is made of a natural substance called hyaluronic acid, which can naturally be found in the sugars in the human body. The hyaluronic acid in Perlane simply supplements the body’s age-depleted hyaluronic acid to plump up the lip or raise the skin and fill in a particular fold being treated.

The difference in Perlane from Restylane is the size of the hyaluronic acid partical that is injected under the skin. Perlane is better for individuals looking to fill deep, severe lines.
