Jill Vargo, MD
Dr. Vargo is the owner and medical director of Awaken Skin and Body, as well as a founding partner of Asheville Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center. She would say Awaken began out of necessity; Asheville’s first boutique medical spa to focus on science-based anti-aging. Dr. Vargo lends her medical expertise to each provider, ensures the practice is current on all regulations, and holds her staff to the highest standards. Since 2014, Awaken Skin and Body remains Asheville’s premier medical aesthetics studio. Come age younger with us!

Hollie Harris, BSN, RN, LE
Hollie Harris joined Awaken Skin and Body in June 2025 with over 25 years of experience in medical aesthetics. A Registered Nurse, Licensed Esthetician, and experienced Aesthetic Nurse Injector, she has worked with a wide range of aesthetic procedures and earned numerous certifications throughout her career. She has specialized in cosmetic injectables for seven years, with advanced training in Dysport, Restylane, and Sculptra. Hollie is passionate about natural, confidence-enhancing results and is known for her gentle approach and ability to put patients at ease. Dedicated to ongoing education, she combines artistry and clinical expertise to deliver safe, effective, and beautiful outcomes.

Amber Owen, Front Desk Administrator
Amber joined Awaken in April 2026. Although new to working in aesthetics, she brings her attention to detail, caring demeanor, and professionalism from her 14 years of experience in the dental field. She holds a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences with a pursuit of furthering her education within the medical field. When she’s not working, she likes to go to the beach, spend time with her sister, or just relax at home with her cats.
