RF Microneedling
What is RF Microneedling?
Wrinkles and loose skin are two (of many)of the physical signs of ageing. Our body’s collagen gradually declines, and the skin becomes thinner. RF Microneedling’s technology uses the combination of radiofrequency heat energy and microneedling trigger production of collagen and elastin fibers, encouraging regeneration of new and healthy skin.
Prior to treatment, our esthetician will apply a topical numbing cream to your skin before to mitigate any discomfort. Once numb, the treatment will begin. You will feel a warm prickling sensation from the microneedles and RF energy. This sensation will vary in intensity depending on the settings being used to achieve your results. You may feel tightness too, similar to a sunburn sensation.
What to expect?
RF Microneedling is a minimally invasive, non surgical way to rejuvenate the health of your skin. For best results, RF Microneedling is typically performed in a series; your skin dreams dictate the pace. While a lucky few may see improvement after one session, most prefer 4-6 treatments.

aftercare information
Avoid skin irritants, such as products with retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic or salicylic acids, vitamin C, or astringents, for a few days before and after treatment.
Avoid tanning beds, sun exposure, and self-tanning for 2–4 weeks before and after treatment.
Avoid blood thinners, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oil, and vitamin E, for 5–7 days before treatment. If you take prescription blood thinners, speak with your healthcare provider before stopping them.
Avoid waxing or using depilatory creams on the treatment area for 1–2 weeks before treatment.
If you have a history of cold sores or herpes, notify us. You may need your doctor to prescribe an antiviral to take 2 days before treatment to prevent outbreaks.
Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before treatment and caffeine on the day of treatment.
Arrive at your appointment without makeup.
After radiofrequency (RF) microneedling, you should expect some downtime including certain degree of discomfort, redness, and/or irritation. Your clinician will provide you with specific aftercare instructions, but here are some general tips:
Tiny scabs (of less than 1 mm in diameter) may form 24-72 hours post treatment and may remain for several days. The scabs should not be touched or scratched (even if they itch) and should be allowed to shed naturally.
During the first 3 days following treatment, avoid unnecessary heat such as hot baths, saunas, or exercise. Also refrain from massages or facials and irritating skin care products like Retinols and exfoliants.
It is important to keep your skin clean and moisturized using recommended or provided by our esthetician.
